Firstly, I’ve created “Black Horse” as a Photoshop exercise, while I was a student. It is a wonderful power pose of a horse. To me, horses represents freedom and wilderness. Secondly, I like horses very much, and I used to take care of them as a child. I learned how to ride and I don’t get to do it often. But some day I know I will get back to doing that. Back than, As a part of our daily routine, we used to ride them without saddles, to the Dan river in my kibbutz. We let them enter into the water to cool down after a long ride. I also got up very early in the morning to feed them, and went to harvest fresh tall grass for them in the afternoon. I washed them and cleaned their ears and hoofs, and their cells. And even covered them with blankets to prepare them for the night. I miss those wonderful experiences, and the relationship I had with each horse in our stable. They are like big dogs, and they are loving and loyal. Finally, I think this piece goes well with the song “Born to be wild”.
